Day 3, £999,995 to go

Welcome to day 3 of my ongoing millionaire quest. As I mentioned before I am currently working my way through the first of the sites offering to help make people rich for just a small outlay and a few hours work. My first stop was with 'Automatic Wealth Solutions' who for an initial fee offer to show you how to make money from the internet for a few hours work a week. When you get past the initial entry to the site their is a lot of information about blogging, linking to other sites and the benefits of adding links from paid advertisers to your site. (Note: If you intend this this site then you should decline the first offer to join at $49.95 and you will be offered a reduction to $37. Decline again and it could go as low as $7). Now at $7 the information they provide is probably value for money. It is all freely available on the net, but the time spent finding it would probably cost you more that the initial outlay.

There are lots of forums discussing this site but those who think they have been scammed have agreed to pay for additional features as they navigated their way through. Not a smart move and one I picked up on in my first post. However the concept of building a blog / site and being paid by advertisers on that site is sound, the hard part is bringing enough of the right people to your site and only hard work will help here.

As part of my research I thought I would check out what reviews were in circulation in an effort to skip the scams and go straight to the money making. A quick google search and I found 'scamreview'. They had already done the work and ranked the top players in each field. Bravo, all I had to do was follow their lead, head to the winning sites and cash in. However the little bell was still going off in my head so I did a quick search on their number one ranked paid survey site, Surveyscout. Well I quickly found out about them at 'www.screwedcentral.com' that has a forum for disgruntled customers, and Surveyscout has lots of disgruntled customers. So my shortcut to finding the good sites was actually pointing people in the direction of the worst sites, and they are getting paid for the links. Mental note, never trust anyone!

Day 3 result - £5 (almost)

P.S. Signed up free for some 'paid surveys' and have $7 pending. I'm already making money!! However not as much as I would like. You may have noticed the 'adsense' links have gone. Apparently I do not qualify so I can freely discuss the ongoing issue with adsense being removed just as users make the $100 payout threshold. More on this soon.

Day 1, £1million to go

Welcome to my first post in my quest to make £1m in 1 year. I am sure lots of you have had the same dream and at some point have come across an article highlighting how some woman from nowhere makes £8k a month for two hours work, while her sister goes shopping and gets paid for it, and then spends 30 mins making £100 filling in a paid survey. Well I got fed up reading these and wanting to believe but having the sense not to jump in. After all why would someone with all the knowledge and tools to make £1,ooo a day want to sell me that know how for £29.99.

So I have decided to use these guys to make my fortune, and at the same time save my readers the pain of trying to find out the scams from the few genuine money making ideas. (I am prepared at this moment in time to believe that there are a few programmes where you can make some money but we will see).

Over the course of the next twelve months I will try out some of these money making systems and report back on my success / failures. Of course if you have already tried some then please feel free to send me your own feedback and I will use what I can (in summary format).

Anyway back to the matter in hand. My first test is with 'Automatic Wealth Solution'. I chose this as it was one of the few that didn't actually promise to make me an instant millionaire, but would give me the tools to set me on my way. I stumped up my $49.95 and was directed to a video introduction. During this into 'Ryan Jackson' (not his real name as he admits, not sure why he /she is hiding their real identity yet) gave an introduction and talked through his general plan. At the end of the video I was offered the chance to buy some links to improve my income for a further $195 and it took several refusals before I could get past this to the members area. Not the start I was hoping for. However I persevered and in the members area found a number of tutorials (some offering suggestions on other products I could buy to enhance my chances of success). There was also a booklet to download and read and I am now in the process of doing this.

Day 1 result - minus $49.95.

P.S. You will notice some 'Adsense' adverts alongside this blog. There is an ongoing debate about using these to make money and I will cover this in future posts. Right, now I'm off to take a survey and make my first £100.
